What would happen to your business if you were too sick to work...?

A difficult situation could arise if you, or a key employee, became too ill to work. No doubt the business would feel obligated to the sick employee and may wish to pay this person. However, this could run for an indefinite period.

One solution is to insure that person's income against the possibility of being too ill to work. This could either be used to provide an income for the person who is ill (thus freeing up the payroll of the business to employ a replacement), or could be used to fund the cost of hiring a new member of staff.
